Who we are

What we collect and why

When you use the contact form. The form on our contact page asks for your name, email address, phone number, a treatment interest and your message. We use these details only to answer your enquiry, and we email you a confirmation that we have received it. The lawful basis is your consent, and for replying to an enquiry about a treatment, our legitimate interest in responding to you.

When you book an appointment. Online bookings are handled by Fresha, our booking system. When you click a booking link you leave this website and your details are collected by Fresha under their own privacy policy. We receive your booking details from them so we can prepare for and carry out your appointment.

When you visit the salon. Before certain treatments we ask you to complete a consultation and consent form so we can check that a treatment is suitable for you. We keep those records because we are required to hold treatment records, and to keep you safe at future appointments.

Photographs. We only publish client photographs where we hold written consent from that client. You are never required to agree to photographs in order to receive a treatment, and you can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.

Cookies and analytics

This website sets no analytics or advertising cookies until you accept them in the banner shown on your first visit. Your choice is stored in your browser so we do not ask again.

If you accept: we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and which treatments they look at. IP addresses are anonymised. We do not use it for advertising, and advertising storage stays switched off either way.

If you decline: Google Analytics does not store anything on your device. Either way: your cookie choice itself is stored locally in your browser. Nothing about it is sent to us.

Our fonts are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google's servers and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser settings and the banner will appear again on your next visit.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make our business work: Fresha for bookings, Amazon Web Services for sending the emails our website generates, and Google Analytics if you have accepted analytics cookies. Each processes your data on our instructions.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your question and any follow-up. Treatment and consent records are kept for as long as we are required to hold client treatment records. If you would like your information removed sooner, email us and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent you have given. Email info@shapezone.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use your information we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
